The medical receptionist under the supervision of the office manager will provide administrative support in a fast paced environment while welcoming and greeting patients in person or over the phone.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a warm and outgoing personality with the ability to interact with patients in an effective and supportive manner.
Respect and maintain privacy of patients while assuring patient confidentiality at all times.
Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
Schedule patients for tests and consultations at referred facilities.
Maintains patient demographics by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and insurance information.
Utilize electronic health record as well as electronic practice management system.
Answer telephones in a professional and courteous manner and relay information accordingly.
Check patients in and out upon arrival and departure.
Responsible for collecting patient co-payments and past due balances.
Prepare patient referrals and obtain insurance pre-authorizations as needed.
Assure the readiness of the reception area for each working day; open the building at the designated time and have all front desk activities fully operational at the start of business hours.
Ability to multi-task, and utilize good time management
Skills/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have basic computer knowledge.
Demonstrate attention to detail, flexibility, and organizational skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Must possess a cheerful disposition and provide quality customer service.
Must be vaccinated against Covid-19

Monday: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM
Wednesday: 7:45 AM - Close
Thursday: Off
Friday: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturday (on rotation 1:4) 8:00AM - 1:00PM

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
